Bali is among the prime leap locations in the world. And it is easy to see why. This relatively little area offers over 100 jump areas and is located in the so-called Coral Triangle. 95% of the world’s corals are available in that somewhat not known area between Bali , the Philippines and the Solomon islands. The range of maritime living is unprecedented here. But with 100 dive sites to choose from, which place do you choose for your dives? The dive places over the island are typical very different. The north part of the area on usually the one hand, presents more enjoyable, easy diving with wonderful walls. The diving round the east side of the island on another hand, may be more advanced with drift dives and pelagic fish. I’ll highlight all the key plunge places below.
The very best identified plunge place in the North-West of Bali is Menjangan Island. That island in the Menjangan National Underwater Park, presents some of the very most beautiful scenery underwater. The walls are vibrant, full of underwater living and present wealthy corals. You will see turtles, garden eels, barracudas and lots of little fish here. It can be reached by ship and can be popular for snorkeling. Menjangan island has a number of dive spots. As there’s rarely current, dives are very easy here.
Among the most popular plunge places on Bali is the region around Nusa Penida. An area just down the shore of Bali. There are plenty of dive places to pick from here. All of the dives are drift dives which can be quite exhilarating at times. Nusa Penida is the place to be for the popular mola mola (sunfish). The mola mola only comes around shallower seas once the water is cool enough (usually between September and October). You can also discover Manta Place here, manta washing station.
How many mantas you will encounter will rely of course, but groups of 7-8 mantas are not uncommon here. Keep in mind though, they’re not always there. Nusa Penida may have some demanding currents, so a few of the jump locations are for sophisticated divers only. Different leap sites, such as Manta Stage, are good for newcomers too.
The leap locations around Padang Bay, Candidasa and Amed are very different. The Padang Bay dive web sites are typical relatively close to the shore and are great for exploring. You are able to experience reef sharks, stingrays, beach horses, frog fishes and cuttlefish here. Dives here are often easy, but the existing can make up at times. South East of Candidasa you will find some great dive spots. At Gili Biaha like, you will look at reef sharks in the shark cave. Currents and rise could be strong in that part of the area, therefore they’re dive internet sites for the sophisticated diver. Bali Diving around Amed is often somewhat simpler as the present is restricted there. It was once one the best leap places on Bali. Unfortuitously Amed was seriously attack by El Nino. It is slowly recovering, but isn’t back again to its former beauty yet.
The USS Liberty Destroy in Tulamben might be one of the very famous dive places on the island. The USS Liberty, a shipment vessel in WWII, was torpedoed by the Western in 1942. It has been around the water at Tulamben because 1963. The damage is covered with corals and houses a variety of underwater life. The ship is approximately 120 meters long and you are able to swimming through it. The present is normally mild here and it’s therefore a good leap for beginners and sophisticated divers alike.
As Bali isn’t large, it is simple to plunge on all locations if you have a while throughout your holiday. Lots of the dive centers offer day trips to each of the locations. It’s nevertheless not encouraged to do each day trip to the North-West of Bali when you’re situated in the South, as it is quite far. The simplest way to see everything is through a dive safari. Finally, as Bali presents some really sophisticated leap web sites, be sure you choose a jump center carefully.
