The Dussehra event marks the victory of Master Ram around devil master Ravana, which means the success of excellent over evil, mild over darkness. Superbly decorated tableaux and processions depicting different episodes from Ram’s living are taken out on the streets. The Onam event is celebrated as a harvest event by Malayalees.
